Indeed, what is that word that I have made up? It is a term of endearment for the lovely, scrotchy quaker parrots in my life. I heart them, so very much, which is why, I decided to do some body mod and get one tattooed on my foot. Indeed, a foot tattoo does hurt; tattooing hurts, however, this is where I wanted it and this is where I got it. I would also like to say that it hurt more in some spots than others; that is, where there is less flesh/muscle/meat (whatever term one would like to use), there is more pain. He is also more orangey than I would like, at this point, however, that's lovely blood under the skin interacting with the green ink, and should clear up once healed. I am happy to say that R is accepting of it, as far as that goes, given that he doesn't like ink. However, as I said to M, it IS all about compromise in a relationship and I wanted ink LONG before he was ever around. So, what is the compromise, if he despises ink and I was bound and determined to get one from a young age, long before he was in the picture as I said? Well, he was given some time to get used to the idea, for starters, as in a couple of years. Secondly, I didn't get a large tattoo. Thirdly, I had the ink placed in a conspicuous location, versus somewhere much more obvious, like one's wrist. Now, about the second tattoo....! ;)
I will post pictures as it continues to heal....I am hoping I will not need touch ups; if any are required, it would be to deepen the green, but it is too early to say. Healing MUST occur. And to facilitate that process, I am using Bioderma's Cicabio cream which is respectful of the body's healing process and Vichy's Mineral Balm which is fragrant, colorant and paraben free, huzah! I say, huzah!
What we're listening to right now (me, Pepper and Jordie)....End of the Affair Soundtrack....

Oh yes, my bad! I would like to say thanks to Jason L at Embedded for an amazing job and making my personal experience a positive, one-to-remember-for-good-reasons! My personal philosophy towards ink is that it is very personal and intimate (and should be, boo not thought out, rash inkings) and Jason was a wonderful part of that; no judgments, just acceptance (sometimes the body mod culture is too cool for people that aren't really apart of that subculture, if we know what i mean...). He was also cool with my profuse foot sweating. Also props to D&S for coming and making a great shared experience! Extra props for D for holding my hand (it really helped keep me focused esp. when it hurt and she was right, it is an annoying hurt so keeping my hands away as a good thing too! and now, i feel all grown up and can get ink on my own! YAY me!). Extra props to S for her AWESOME news and for being my paparazzi!
